Use Case

Tip

Bulk importing consignments is best used for:

Promotional Activities

Sending the same freight item details (one carton or satchel) to multiple different receivers using the same Carrier Service.

Example

I want to send a promo box to all my Bunnings partners. I know that I have 50 Bunnings receivers and I have all the receiver details in a list.

OR

I have a new product demo that I want to have it sent to all my branches so they can have their customers test the new product.

Limitations

Warning

Bulk importing consignments cannot be used for:

Dangerous Goods consignments

Dangerous Goods need to be officially declared, in OneFlo, due to DG compliance regulations. Dangerous Goods need item level information, which Bulk Uploads does not currently collect

Consolidation

Bulk imported consignments will not consolidate.

Bulk importing consignments is not recommended for:

Small number of consignments

Bulk uploading consignments could take longer than manually filling out the form in OneFlo. It is recommended for customers that frequently have more than 20 consignments created a day.

Returns

Bulk uploading consignments will be treated as an outbound consignment by the system. This could cause issues with the cost of the consignment.

Multiple items per consignment

A consignment will be created for each line in the csv file. If there are multiple items in a line, this will cause the consignment to divide the weight and volume by the number of items.

Warning

Stop!

Are you uploading more than 200 consignments?

Uploading a large file can put a lot of strain on the system and can take quite some time to load. It is not recommended to load more than 200 cons at a time. It is best practice to break large numbers of cons into 200 cons or less

Step 1: Accessing the Import Consignments page

In OneFlo, click on the settings cog ⚙ in the top right hand corner of the page > Click Import Consignments

Step 2: Selecting the file

Note

Please note: The file will need to be in a .csv format. Please use the attached template as it will make the next step easier

select First row in header > Click browse to select the file that is to be uploaded and

Step 3: Mapping the file

The page should look like this, though there could be some small differences:

The top section is for editing any errors:

And the bottom section is for mapping the headings. If there are any --Select File Column-- In the second column, click on the drop down boxes and match them to the first column appropriately:

Step 4: Importing the file

After mapping the file headers, click Import Data t the top of the screen.

This will take you to a new screen where, if there are any errors, they can be corrected here. Refresh the page after a while to see if any errors appear, or if they have processed. If there are a large number of consignments, this may take some time to process.

Clicking the green triangle (blue star) will show what the errors are, if there are any.

This screen is where most of the errors can be fixed. For example, Receiver Location is invalid is because either the postcode or suburb is incorrect.
