AutoPrint - Troubleshooting Checks
Simple checks that need to be made before performing other troubleshooting methods:
Pre-Checks
Are you logged in with the correct user?
AutoPrint will only work for the user it was installed for. If you have multiple users, please test the other users to see if there is one that will work.
Are you on the correct PC?
AutoPrint will only work for the PC it was installed on. If you have multiple PCs,
Is it a new PC?
If you have gotten a new PC, AutoPrint will not work and a case will need to be raised to our engineering team to be able to reinstall it.
Step 1: Check that labels and connotes can be printed manually
In OneFlo > Consignments > Maintain Consignments > Select consignment > Uncheck AutoPrint functionality at the bottom right > Click Label or Connote buttons at top right
A window will pop up and the printer can be selected. If the consignment prints this way, the issue is with the AutoPrint service. Otherwise, the issue is with the printer and this will need to be investigated by your IT first.
Step 2: Check that the OneFlo AutoPrint service is running
Restarting the AutoPrint service will cause all the attempted print jobs to print out, even if they have been manually printed afterwards. Please follow this article to stop the print jobs from printing: Troubleshooting the Print Queue for AutoPrint
Press the Windows button > Search for Services > Navigate through the services to find OneFlo Autoprint service > Check if the service is running.
If the service is not running, try restarting the service by clicking on the options to the left of the services or by right clicking on the service and selecting Start.
Create a test consignment to ensure AutoPrint is working again.
Important Notes
If the options to stop, start, or restart the service are greyed out, the user does not have admin access and your IT will need to be contacted first for assistance. This will need to happen before a case is raised with efm IT.
Step 3: Check the print queue
Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Select the label printer > Right click and select See what's printing
In the print queue window, see if there are any jobs with an error. If there are any jobs with an error, delete them if possible.
Restart the AutoPrint service using the instructions in the previous check
